    Frequently asked questions

How many teams are in the NFL?

There are 32 NFL teams, split into two conferences (AFC and NFC) of 16 teams each. Each conference has four divisions of four teams: East, North, South and West.

What is the random NFL team generator used for?

Picking teams for Madden and fantasy football challenges, office pools, "team you have to root for" bets, trivia games and party draws.

Can I pick from one conference or division?

Yes. Filter by AFC or NFC and by division, or draw several teams at once without repeats.

Can I give every player a team?

Yes. Set "How many" to the number of players (up to 32) and each draw is unique, so no two people get the same team.

Is this site affiliated with the NFL?

No. Team names are used only to identify the teams. This is an independent, unofficial tool.
