Getting the most from your result
Read the descriptions of your top two or three scores. Your true type is the one whose core fear and motivation feel uncomfortably accurate, not just the one whose behaviors match. Many people find it helpful to discuss results with a friend who knows them well.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Enneagram?
The Enneagram is a model of personality with nine types, each driven by a core motivation and a core fear. It is popular for self-awareness, relationships and personal growth. Types are often written with a wing, the neighboring type that also influences you, like 4w5.
How does this Enneagram test work?
You rate 45 statements (five for each type) on how well they describe you. Your highest-scoring type is your likely core type, and the higher of its two neighbors is your likely wing. You also see your scores for all nine types.
Is this test accurate?
It's a free, quick test with our own questions, meant as a starting point. The Enneagram is best confirmed by reading the type descriptions and seeing which motivation truly fits, since behavior can look similar across types.
What is a wing?
Your wing is one of the two types next to yours on the Enneagram circle. A Type 2 has wings 1 or 3; a Type 9 has wings 8 or 1. The wing adds flavor to your core type.
Can my type change?
Most Enneagram teachers say your core type stays the same, but how healthy and balanced you are within it changes with stress, growth and life circumstances.
